Aaliyah Daniel Haughton exploded into fame in 1994 when she released her album debut Age Ain't Anything But an Numer. The album was Gold at the age of just 15 years old. It was done as a collaboration that was highly in the style of R. Kelly and it placed her in the spotlight. In 1996 Jermaine and Timbaland came out with Aaliyah's sophomore album One In A Million. It featured If Your Girls Only Knew, the most-sold single. Aaliyah became a household name for her work as an R&B artist with the launch of her second album, One In A Million. She starred with the martial arts legend Jet Li in the action-romance film Romeo Must Die. She got this role following an interview with producer Joel Silver at an awards show. Queen of the Damned was her first role in 2002. It is based off The Anne Rice novel. She then got into the Matrix with her role as Zee as Zee in The Matrix Sequels having also performed on The Matrix Reloaded in 2003 as well as The Matrix Revolutions in the same year. While her initial career was dominated by minor movie and TV performances, she rose to greater prominence in the mid-2000s. Apart from The Big Bang Theory her other most acclaimed works include Leverage (2012) Suits (2013) as well as Grey's Anatomy (2017). She has appeared in numerous commercials including Volvo's international car producer. She lives in Los Angeles where she continues acting as an actress.
